2023 Wedding Trends to Watch

Having been planning weddings since 2014, I have seen trends come and go. Trends are cyclical, as they say. When we began our business - clients wanted to see babies breath and barns. In 2022, we saw and abundance of hanging flowers with tropical leaves.

As this year comes to an end, we wanted to look forward to show off more of what we will be on full display in 2023. If you’re attending a wedding - keep an eye out for these trends.

Petite Bouquets

While for the past few years we’ve seen “bigger is better” in terms of bouquets, more brides are opting to carry a more petite and structured florals down the aisle

Emphasis on Guest Experience

You’re going to see smaller weddings with more entertainment. Aside from dancing all night to a phenomenal band, more couples are choosing to let their personalities shine with more hands on activities to keep guests entertained. We’ve seen caricature artists, live watercolor painters, cigar rollers and more.

Tiktok Reigns

More and more couples are turning to the newest social media platform for inspiration and sourcing vendors. If you haven’t hopped on the TikTok train yet, be sure to follow @kccloudevents to stay up to date with our weddings and projects!

Shades of Rust

While blush and bashful will always have a place in wedding color pallets, more couples are leaning into natural tones such as terracotta, oranges and rusts.

Bold Color Schemes

While whites and greenery will always have a place in weddings, more couples are looking for something more bold colorwise. Couples are focusing more on the overall aesthetic rather than a singular “theme”.

Smaller Guest Counts

More couples are still having the huge party, but they are cutting their guest counts in a big way. More weddings are inviting eighty guests or fewer, and taking the time and care to ensure that every detail is well thought out and perfectly planned.
